Do you know that my girlfriend is type B?

WARNING: This blog entry is not for the weak of mind... and heart... and eyes.

*Government warning is dangerous for your health*

Entry Part 1:
Socrates was considered the wisest during his time. Why? Because he does not think he knows when he does not know. He who knows that he does not know knows. I have come up with a conjecture regarding knowing (or knowledge, or thoughts, or whatever).

Yomz' conjecture on knowledge:
Knowledge is directly proportional to ignorance to the nth power.
(where n = number of people involved in the circulation of ideas)

knowing and not knowing what another person knows and does not know increases what you know and does not know. when person A knows something, he knows it. and if person B knows that person A knows, he also knows what person A knows. but does person A knows that person B knows? suppose he knows, does person B knows that person A knows that he knows? he does not know. we do not know. therefore knowledge grows, as well as ignorance, and it will increase exponentially if more people get involved, and it will make things more complicated. (i don't want to continue, i might get a vertigo even as i write)

Quote for the week: "He who knows that he does not know knows."

Entry Part 2:
I don't have a girlfriend... yet. Now you know. I've finished Lovers in Paris this week. argh.. it was long, but good, better with subtitles, aja! I just finished watching My Boyfriend is Type B just a while ago. Nice movie. :) When will Filipino films stop espousing jolog concepts? When will the masa crowd long for higher aesthetic experiences? Maybe I'm asking a chicken-egg question. Who knows? I look forward watching a different Filipino film, maybe Pinoy Blonde, let's just see. :D

To Swim or Not to Swim

Not to swim. Why? Because I think people were not meant to swim. If we are not meant to fly like birds, we are not meant to swim like fishes. In philosophy, humans are the least specialized creatures, and that makes us special. we can do different things, and swimming won't make more or less of a human being. (gah! i just hate swimming, making this matter big). In the Old Testament times, i think they did not know how to swim.

1. Noah built an ark. People can't swim. Only those in the ark survived.
2. Moses split the Red Sea. Guess why? (because the Egyptians can't swim too)

The world will end before I learn how to swim, or be interested in it in the first place. that is why i hate outings with swimming. i don't like to go to swimming outings. i'd rather watch a movie, watch the sky, relax, rewind, and ride a boat. on one occasion, a friend pushed me in the pool. that's nothing, since the pool is shallow enough not to make me drown, and deep enough not to my body bang the pool's floor. revenge is a dish best served cold. hehe. i only like to go on swimming outings with my relatives and close friends :) but i still enjoy going to pools and beaches, just don't make me swim. because i will drown. :)
